My daughter mainly did the experiments, and then also wrote in her journal and worked on a science fair project which had lots of research and writing involved. I did try Supercharged again the next year, and dearly wished I had only purchased a month at a time! My daughter thought at first that she'd like it again, so I purchased the whole year--but after about a month she said that she really had completed all of the projects that she was interested in the previous year and that there wasn't as much left as she had thought. We were beyond the "refund" time, so it was an expensive mistake! There were a lot of other things on the site, but just not ones that captured her interest at that point in time. We ended up using the Tiner books that year (which I also really like). Both also used Apologia--my son used General Science in 7th and Physical, both used Biology, and then my daughter also used Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced Bio. In the elementary years, we used Sonlight, NOEO, and Apologia mainly. My daughter loved doing the science fair and did it for 6 years (through her Sophomore year). The Advanced Biology from Apologia is another curriculum that she won and really enjoyed. Anyway, I hope this helps some! Have fun with your kids! Did you end up using this for both your children? I'd love to hear about your experience if you continued to use this. I'm considering this for my upcoming 6th grader and 2nd grader. I read from other reviews that there are readings and other resources that go with each experiment/topic. Did you children do the readings/written work? Thanks!Emkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00615407808113007830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963996947883106252.post-49491435572159822532013-09-29T20:47:58.400-07:002013-09-29T20:47:58.400-07:00I would email supercharged and see if they might b...I would email supercharged and see if they might be able to get a list. Some were normal items, and some required us to go shopping (like the motors for the hovercraft). A lot of times my daughter improvised when we didn't have something and used another household item as a replacement. You could also start with just a one month subscription, look around at the various experiments, and see if it's going to be a fit for you and for what you'll have available. (If you purchase a whole year and then end up not using it all year, it's not refundable after the first month--so make sure you really want it before getting that!) I hope your move goes well!Merryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08551809190430382200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963996947883106252.post-48788390971701585462013-09-29T19:29:10.524-07:002013-09-29T19:29:10.524-07:00How extensive are the supply lists? For the most part is it every day stuff or is some of it pretty out there? (Also is there a way to sort of get a general supply list so I can stock up and maybe ship stuff before I go?) Thanks so much! Loved the review and could see my kids doing the same thing!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15451181089905438936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963996947883106252.post-4325072339873850052012-04-11T21:36:55.319-07:002012-04-11T21:36:55.319-07:00Honestly, I wouldn't have considered it either...Honestly, I wouldn't have considered it either, but now after doing it...I think both kids may be using it next year! It's looking like a good option for high school too. (And still cheaper than private school, LOL!)

MerryMerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08551809190430382200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963996947883106252.post-26906120190654887282012-04-11T21:23:56.467-07:002012-04-11T21:23:56.467-07:00That was a great review, thanks for sharing it!
